Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is convinced that his marriage with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has reached its end. They are not seeing each other, and their perspectives on things greatly differ.
Harrison, their child, appears to be unaffected by whatever decision Kyle Abbott makes, and Kyle seems to be leaning towards wanting a divorce.
He’s looking forward to being on his own and is considering Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
However, the plot takes an unexpected turn. There’s a possibility that Summer Newman is pregnant, leading to certain changes.
Kyle Abbott is upset about Summer Newman’s lies involving Phyllis Summers Newman (Michelle Stafford). Oddly enough, despite the lies, they continued to have a physical relationship during that time.
Despite their arguments, it seems like they still love each other. This suggests that Summer Newman might have become pregnant earlier, but they might have only recently discovered it due to their ongoing problems.
Summer Newman genuinely wanted to mend things with Kyle Abbott, but he rejected her attempts.
She felt really upset. However, if she’s pregnant, she knows she might be able to leverage the situation somehow.
She doesn’t want Kyle to take her back out of obligation; she wants him to want her back.
So, here’s her plan: she’s going to pretend that someone else, perhaps Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd), is the baby’s father. She believes that by doing this, Kyle Abbott might become jealous and leave Audra Charles to be with her again.
This strategy reminds her of something her mother, Phyllis Summers Newman, might do.
