Lauren is trying to find ways to stop Nikki, aware of the situation and unable to sit idly by; her friend’s decline prompts her to venture to where Nikki is, optimistic and trying to help her get out of her drunken stupor. However, Nikki does not easily accept help, and the two face major challenges in the process.
Despite Lauren’s efforts to bring Nikki home, Nikki’s heartbreak comes not only from her current situation but also from worries about Victor’s criticism. Nikki didn’t want her husband to see her as a weak or out-of-control woman, and her self-esteem becomes important as she rejects Victor’s support to retain at least some control over her life.
Maybe Lauren’s inadvertence revealed Nikki’s condition to Victor, and he will undoubtedly be angry when he learns how bad it has become.
A romantic escape with Michael becomes the ideal place for Nikki to freely face life’s challenges and try to rid herself of the negative effects of alcohol. Lauren tries to convince Nikki of Victor’s support, but her girlfriend’s insistence makes all efforts difficult. However, Lauren’s care and concern are relentless, and she will never give up on Nikki during these difficult times.
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman is facing another challenge and turns to her father, Victor Newman, for help. Chloe and Kevin’s problems are asking for attention and help, and arranging Chloe’s trip to Oregon becomes no easy task. While it seems like everything will be resolved legally and with the support of doctors, there are still many steps to take before Chloe can begin her journey.
Victor, although he has some reservations about Chloe having to face Jordan again, will cooperate to help Victoria and ensure that everything goes smoothly.
