I’ll be incredibly disappointed if there isn’t some sort of miracle to wrap up this whole Eric situation. The show has been hinting that Eric might actually be nearing the end of his time, but I’m in total denial about it. We can’t have Eric leaving us. He’s an original character and we adore him too much.
It feels like the show is taking away my own grandpa, and I absolutely hate it. It appears the show is gearing up for a significant and potentially emotional storyline involving Eric, who has been a central part of the series from the beginning.
On a brighter note, two of Eric Forrester’s children are making their return to the show. Winston Harmon portrayed Thorn Forrester from 1996 and last graced our screens in 2016, making a brief return in a dream sequence with Brooke in 2022. Additionally, Ingo Rademacher also took on Thorn’s character from November 2017 to February 2019 before the character’s departure for Forrester International after a failed marriage to Katie Logan.
Another returning character is Bridget, Eric’s daughter with Brooke, played by Ashley Jones since 2004. The last time we saw Bridget, she was assisting Quinn, who was concerned that her husband might be seriously ill. It’s quite ironic that she’s gone now, and Eric, who seemed perfectly healthy a year ago, is now on the verge of his final days.
We haven’t seen Thorn in quite some time, and I know we’re all as eager to see him as I am. Bridget’s return may play a significant role, especially since she’s a doctor and would never let her father pass away without doing her own research.
Apparently, Eric has been diagnosed with TIAs (Transient Ischemic Attacks), and his prognosis is grim, with only a few months left to live. Adding to the emotional intensity, a teaser from the show’s producer, Casey Kasprzyk, featured a photo hinting at either Eric’s funeral (which seems more likely) or a celebration of his life.
In any case, Win Harmon’s return is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6th, and Ashley Jones is set to return on Wednesday, December 7th. However, it seems none of the other kids will be making it, which is truly sad. No matter where they are, what they’re doing, the show should bring all of Eric’s children together, at least for him to have a moment with them before he bids farewell. That’s all for today.
